I would have to say that this dreamcatcher was inspired by the two-toned kukui nuts which my brother has brought back from Hawaii a couple years ago (I always ask him for these gorgeous beads when he goes there). Kukui nuts are traditionally used in Hawaiian leys and I am quite obsessed with them. There was a small handful left in my collection of these black and white ones, and since I had some lush ostrich feathers I envisioned the two together. Howlite seemed like a fitting stone for this combination and the energy I wanted to achieve in this creation.
